Stunning vintage Qianlong Rose Famille Medallion Porcelain Teapot. The teapot has two wicker handles and measures 6 1/4" high x 7" wide in diameter from spout to handle end. The teapot has beautiful color and detail, both on the body and lid. I see no chips or cracks, just some wear in spots from aging. Interior is clean, and spout pours nicely (see video).
This is a traditional shape of porcelain teapots. Such pots were made from the Qing dynasty till nowadays. There are the Qianlong Nian Zhi markings on the bottom...the apocryphal 6-character , translated to 'Made during Qianlong reign, the Great Qing' mark. Likely made in mid- to late 20th C in Macau.
